Secure your CAD files

Pinion Software’s Technical Rights Management (TRM) initiative extends security and control to the CAD files and other technical information that you must share in the normal course of business.

Industrial designs are highly guarded intelectual property these days. In order to safeguard your digital asset, it’s very important to ensure file security on all your CAD files.

  • Eliminate unauthorized use and theft of electronic information
  • Maintain continuous control over sensitive information throughout its lifecycle
  • Secure email, attachments, and files on your network
  • Ensure compliance with federal legislation and corporate policy
  • Prevent or discourage unnecessary and costly lawsuits
  • Safeguard your intellectual property and trade secrets
  • Avoid illegal disclosure and the possibilities of fraud and embezzlement

Poached salmon in your dishwasher

Ever wonder what else you can do with your dishwasher? Besides washing dishes that is. Bob Blumer posts his recipe for dishwasher salmon with a piquant dill sauce.

Poaching fish in the dishwasher is a virtually foolproof way to shock your friends, prepare a succulent meal and do the dishes — all at the same time. I’ve poached salmon in more than 100 dishwashers on three continents. There’s never been a dull party.

McDonalds reaches out via bloggers

Ted Murphy runs a company called PayPerPost, which enables advertisers to post ads on blogs. His company had recently signed an agreement with McDonalds to help spread the word on healthy eating and also get bloggers to donate their earnings to (RMHC) Ronald McDonald House Charities.

They had pledged 5 million to this project. Bloggers who take up this task will not be earning anything but their work will be contributed to designated charities.

What a great way to spend their money. It’s killing 2 birds with 1 stone.

Microsoft Sues Hacker

Viodentia had been sued by software giant Microsoft alleging that the programmer has access to proprietary source-code.

The hacker’s program called “FairUse4WM” removes anti-copying guards from WMA encoded songs and had been updated regularly as soon as Microsoft patches them.

“FairUse4WM has been my own creation, and has never involved Microsoft source code,” the developer wrote. “I link with Microsoft’s static libraries provided with the compiler and various platform SDK (software development kit) files.”

Get paid for blogging

There’s a new concept in town for earning called PPP (Pay Per Post). You don’t need to sell anything to get paid. That’s the greatest part of it.

PPP works very much like PPC but better. Advertisers want to create buzz, build traffic and links back to their website or product page. Bloggers who want to earn money can opt to post about great opportunities offered by the advertiser and get paid in return.

What a simple and great idea I must say … It works both ways. If you want to advertise on blogs and get more traffic, sign up as an advertiser. If you want to earn money from blogging, then sign up as a blogger. Be sure to include my email (toxicle at gmail.com) as your referrer.

IBM ThinkPad explodes at LAX

IBM ThinkPad explode
Dell and Apple notebook batteries are not the only ones hit. Now an IBM ThinkPad seems to be the latest victim. It cause quite a scene at the busy LAX.

So we’re waiting for a flight in the United lounge at LAX, the flight next to ours was heading to London and in the middle of final boarding, when suddenly this guy comes running the wrong way up the jetway, pushing other boarding passengers out of the way, he quickly drops his laptop on the floor and the thing immediately flares up like a giant firework for about 15 seconds, then catches fire. About a hundred other people in the lounge jumped up and began a mix of gawking and general panic, I clearly heard a few fleeing individuals saying something about terrorists. The fire burned for a minute while everybody just stared at it, then another flare up, this one much larger than the first, drove a larger group of gawkers away. Eventually, the high intensity flaring calmed down and a larger fire kicked in, all the while letting off a thick cloud of white smoke that was slowly filling the terminal. Finally, an employee came over with a fire extinguisher and put it out of its misery.
