This is Ads overkill

I’m sure most of my readers would think that my blog is Ads overkill. Yes it is and you’re right!

I did mention that I am an Adsense Wh0re earlier. Rest assured once I identify the winning ad positions, I will remove the rest and spare my readers the amount of crap I’m displaying.

Yes I’m earning “a bit” of money from Adsense but most importantly, it’s about learning.

Tempoarily out of resourse, please try again later

For all StreamyX users who are moaning and complaining, here’s a summary of your error message “Tempoarily out of resourse, please try again later“.

First of all. It’s not your browser. It’s not your OS settings. It’s not the website you’re trying to access. It’s because of TMNET’s poor implementation of their so called transparent proxy.

Al-Qaeda warns of more attacks

Ayman al-Zawahri, the lieutenant of Osama Bin Laden had issued warnings of more attacks due to Tony Blair’s foreign policy decisions.

“Blair has brought you destruction to the heart of London, and he will bring more destruction, God willing.”

His comments were aired via the usual Arab satellite channel al-Jazeera.

However, Mr Blair denies his policies provoked the London bombings.

On the same video footage released Thursday, Zawahiri also issued several warnings for the United States.

“Our message is clear — what you saw in New York and Washington and what you are seeing in Afghanistan and Iraq, all these are nothing compared to what you will see next.”

al-Zawahri who was seen wearing a white tunic with black turban and the usual Kalashnikov rifle by his side.

“If you continue your politics against Muslims, you will see, God willing, such horror that you will forget the horrors of Vietnam.”

American Journalist Killed in Iraq

Steven VincentSteven Vincent was the first American journalist killed in Iraq. The free-lance journalist and author from Manhattan writing about the rise of conservative Shiite Islam and the corruption of the Iraqi police was shot and killed last night in the southern Iraqi city of Basra.

Sources in Basra said Vincent and his translator, Noor al-Khal, had left the hotel about 7 p.m. last night to change U.S. dollars for Iraqi currency in a nearby currency exchange shop.

Unlike some foreign journalists, Vincent did not employ a bodyguard. But a number of other journalists, including several British journalists, have operated in Basra recently without bodyguards and without incident.

Witnesses who were interviewed by Iraqi journalists said Vincent and al-Khal lingered in the crowded street after leaving the shop. Suddenly, a pickup truck with Iraqi police markings pulled up and four masked men jumped out and grabbed the journalist and translator.

Vincent’s body, shot several times, was found this morning on the road to the airport north of Basra. Al-Khal was lying beside him, also shot but still alive. She is now in a hospital and sources in Basra said she apparently was left for dead.

So much for the truth. I hope I don’t get shot :P

Media players

I’m not much a media person but I will be. Winamp 2.666 remains my choice for playing mp3s. Why use such an old version you may ask?

Why not when what it offers is sufficient? Not for you perhaps. That is why I am gonna torture myself and install all 4 of the most popular media players and pick my choice in the end.

The 4 media players I will be reviewing are

1. Windows Media Player 10
2. iTunes 4
3. RealPlayer 10
4. Winamp 5

We’ll see what’s my choice in a week or two :)

Ghost at McDonalds

Here’s a video I grabbed from McDonalds while I was eating. The door was opening by itself and no one noticed it except me. The door opens to an open air area.

Pay attention to the guy in green number 13 shirt. Notice that he jumped up when the door closed? Probably “touched” by the ghost.

And of course … the ghost is not visible.

You’ll need QuickTime or WMP to view this video.
