I have two USB drives. One of them is for my web work which includes: my code, graphics, PSP brushes, videos, and my Cruizer Lock software for encrypted/secure files.

My second one is strictly for my writing and contains: writing projects/outlines, novels I’ve written or am in the process of writing, research materials, correspondence, and articles.

Hi… I was just wondering what the maximum storage capacity of a USB thumb drive or pen drive is (any brand)? Is there a link to a site mentioning it? To answer your question - as a student, I use my USB drive to store my word documents, my endnote library and music!

    Check the manufacturer’s site.

    - A “please return to the owner” text file with my name, email, and telephone number.
    - A TrueCrypt “traveler” setup allowing for accessing my TrueCrypt disk image.
    - A TrueCrypt disk image containing Thunderbird Portable (with Enigmail), Firefox portable, PGP and X.509 keys, some known-good copies of Windows anti-virus software (AVG Free, Sophos, etc.), ISO Recorder, and an ISO of Ubuntu Desktop 7.10 (Gutsy) live CD for fix-it purposes.

My USB flash drive was mostly for use on other people’s computers before I ended up buying a laptop. The laptop now has a small TrueCrypt disk image that I use for storing confidential files (mostly crypto stuff like private keys, stored passwords, etc.) so the flash drive is not commonly used.

I really should get a “fix-it” flash drive for repairing broken computers.
