What do you call a deliberate accident?
Is there a word for it? Have you experienced one? Here’s a perfect example.
I drove towards the center of a crossroad. A car from the left sped towards me. I stopped and could see the car braking .. then slowly moving towards my car and hit me.
Got out and asked the driver why he didn’t brake. He mumbled something about he didn’t see me. I examined his car (yes I didn’t bother to look at my car first) and it became apparent to me that this is a deliberate accident.
His car windscreen was smashed, broken and I obviously knew it wasn’t because of this accident. This car looked like a car used for wrecking. His tow truck friend was with him. My friend on the passenger seat confirmed with me that the car was stationary before we crossed the road.
Then it hit me … I just fell into one of their trap. He had hit me and put me in the guilty position in the eyes of law. He had the right of way. I saw his braking to reduce speed then let the car roll for a good 1.5 seconds before it hit mine. He could have stopped or avoided me if he wanted to.

So … what do you call a deliberate accident?

A Set up.
I’m not sure if your friend can be counted as a witness or not, but if he can, then you’d probably win the case.
Then bring the car to the station to be inspected by the police.
Your damage shouldn’t be too bad while his is badly damaged. Inconsistancy in evidence is your advantage.
of course

That’s just screwed up…
These cases are getting often these days.
Your case is not the first that I heard of.
Wonder what can we do to prevent it altogether..
